Terms of Use
Last updated: October 14, 2026
1. Purpose and acceptance
Nakama is an app for tracking anime and manga with your friends: library, progress, spoiler-free episode comments, reviews, ratings, lists and profiles. These terms govern how you use it. By creating an account, you accept them. If you disagree, please don't use Nakama. How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.
Nakama is published by Hamza Hajjaj, an independent developer trading as Liminal, Place du Tomberg 16, 1200 Brussels, Belgium (BCE company number 1020.634.196).
2. Minimum age
You must be at least 13 to use Nakama. If you are under 15, you need the consent of one of your parents (or your legal guardian) to create an account. If we learn that an account doesn't meet these age rules, we may delete it.
3. Your account
- The information you give (email address, username) must be accurate.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens from your account; if you think it has been compromised, change your password and write to us.
- One account per person.
- You can sign in with an email address and password, or with Apple or Google. The terms of those services apply to their own sign-in.
4. Your content
Your comments, replies, reviews, ratings, username, bio, lists and profile photo are your content. You remain their owner and are responsible for them: only post what you have the right to post. You grant Nakama a non-exclusive, free, worldwide licence, for as long as your account exists, to store them and display them to other members within the service, according to your privacy settings. This licence is only used to run Nakama: we don't sell your content or use it for advertising.
5. What is not allowed
Nakama has zero tolerance for shocking or abusive content. You may not post:
- hateful or discriminatory remarks, or harassment;
- threats or incitement to violence;
- sexual or pornographic content;
- gratuitous or shocking violence;
- spam, advertising or misleading links;
- impersonation of a person or a brand;
- other people's personal data (address, phone number, private photos, etc.);
- any illegal content, or content that infringes a third party's rights.
Spoilers: mark them as such when the app offers to, so it can hide them from members who haven't reached that episode. Don't work around this system.
6. Moderation
- Report: tap the flag (⚑) on a comment, review or profile to report it.
- Block: from a member's profile, you can block them. You then no longer see each other's content.
- We handle reports within 24 hours. Content reported by several members is hidden automatically until we have reviewed it.
- We remove content that breaks these terms and may suspend or permanently ban the accounts responsible. In case of serious misconduct, this can happen without notice.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app: Profile › Settings › Account & security, then "Delete account". Deletion becomes permanent after a grace period of fourteen days, during which you can sign back in to cancel it. Your data is then erased; your comments in public threads remain, but anonymised: they are shown without an author and are no longer linked to your account. Details are in the privacy policy.
8. Catalogue data
Information about series (titles, episodes, artwork, volumes) comes in particular from AniList and TMDB, and streaming availability from JustWatch. Nakama is not affiliated with any of these services, nor with any publisher or platform. Nakama does not provide any illegal reading or streaming link and does not accept them in members' content.
9. A beta service, provided as is
Nakama is a test version. It is provided "as is", with no guarantee of availability or of being free of bugs: the service may be interrupted, changed or lose data. To the extent permitted by law, Hamza Hajjaj / Liminal is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the service, nor for content posted by members. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you, in particular as a consumer.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may change along with the app. The date at the top of the page shows the last update; for any significant change, we will let you know in the app. Continuing to use Nakama after that notice means you accept the changes.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. In case of a dispute, we first look for an amicable solution; failing that, the Belgian courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you.
12. Contact
A question, a report, content to remove: hello@beliminal.be.
